Appetizers on Us at Corner Bar!
We know that some of the best networking often happens informally after classes end. To help support community and social opportunities, the MBA Programs Office has arranged an agreement with Corner Bar to provide students with a voucher to purchase food or non-alcoholic beverages. All you need to do is identify the date your group of MBAs will be getting together and the names of those in your party. Have a group leader email this information to Jessica McLain, mclai003@umn.edu, for consideration at least 2 days in advance. If approved, the voucher can be picked up in the MBA Programs office, suite 1-110.

CAREER
GBCC Tip of the Week Typically when you receive a job offer, the company will phone you and ask you to call back. After the phone discussions, they will send you a paper copy of the offer (often by email). Make sure that your initial response to the company is with a phone call, not an email. While you may think that an email response is fine, some recruiters do not. Avoid losing an offer simply because you responded to the company in the wrong way. Sound silly? It happened to a Carlson MBA student this fall!
Student who Participated in Fall 2008 On-Campus Recruiting: Please Enter Job Offer information into CARS! (carlsonschool.umn.edu) We encourage you to enter your offer information whether the offer(s) originated from on-campus recruiting, external job postings, your own organization or other resources. This information is completely confidential and used only in aggregate to gauge outcomes for PTMBA graduates. If you have any questions or concerns about entering your offers into CARS, contact Allison Corkey, corke004@umn.edu, in the Graduate Business Career Center.
