International Experience 101 overview

The online IE 101 workshop is a requirement for all incoming Carlson School students. The workshop provides students with information about planning for an international experience.  IE 101 consists of four online modules that cover:

  • The international experience requirement and program selection considerations
  • Carlson International Programs and the University of Minnesota's Learning Abroad Center program offerings
  • Academic planning and career considerations
  • Financing your international experience

Following each module is a short quiz.  While students must pass the quizzes in order to register as having completed IE 101, the quizzes do not factor into GPA, or any course grade, and are not credit-bearing.  Rather, they demonstrate familiarity with the workshop content.
