Part-Time MBA Student of the Year Awards
The deadline is April 3!
Any Part-Time MBA student graduating in the current academic year (September 2008-August 2009) is eligible to be considered for the Part-Time MBA Student of the Year awards, recognizing the contributions of Part-Time students to the Carlson School both inside and outside the classroom. Call for Commencement Speaker Nominations
We are seeking nominations for a student speaker at the Carlson School Graduate Commencement Ceremony on Monday, May 18. The speaker must be able to reflect the broad impact of graduate education at the Carlson School and be cleared by their program office to participate in the 2009 commencement ceremony. Nominations are welcome from students, staff or students. Self-nominations may be submitted as well.  Nominations due by March 20, 2009. Assessing Your Leadership Potential with the CPI 260 Tuesday, March 24, 4:40 p.m. - 5:40 p.m., CSOM 2-260T
The MBA Programs Office and the GBCC are partnering with the University Counseling and Consulting Services to pilot new workshops: The CPI 260 is the second of two new workshops. It will provide you with information on 18 leadership characteristics in five core areas including Team Building and Sustaining the Vision. It will help you assess your strengths and discover new opportunities for development so that you can increase your leadership effectiveness at work. Cost: $50. Career Tip from the GBCC - Ordering Business Cards!
Carlson School of Management business cards, which have the look and feel of a traditional business card, enable students to provide critical career and contact information to people they meet in social and professional situations. If you are transitioning to a new career or are hesitant to provide your work contact information, you may not wish to provide your regular business cards to networking contacts. For a minimal investment, you can obtain Carlson School of Management business cards for use in such situations.

Fall 2009 On-Campus Recruiting Announcement!
A Correction to the "Checklist" of Requirements
Submit and gain approval from the MBA Programs Office of your “Graduation Planner” (NOT Application for Degree) located here. You must read the Quick Start Guide to ensure correct submission. It usually takes 2 - 3 weeks to gain approval and you must be approved to graduate between Sept 2009 and Aug 2010.

3M Seminar:
Technology Commercialization for Web 2.0 Business
Monday, March 9, 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m., CSOM 2-206
This fourth seminar will present and discuss emerging trends and opportunities for commercializing technology within web 2.0 businesses. Entrepreneurs, investors, academics and experts in this industry will lead a panel discussion on how best to leverage technology in web 2.0 businesses. NSHMBA Scholarship Applications Now Being Accepted!NSHMBA provides financial assistance to outstanding Hispanics pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) or equivalent. In 2008, over $1.4 million in financial assistance was awarded to students around the country, aiding them in beginning or completing their degrees.
