Tip of the Week
Spring marks for many of us new beginnings and "cleaning up" things that have been dormant for several months. Do your job search materials need a clean up, too? Now is a good time to update your resume with any relevant activities from the last academic year that haven't been updated yet. Ideas include: involvement or leadership in clubs and organizations; case competitions, part-time or volunteer projects like GVC. Doing a quick, thoughtful update of your resume now will payoff during the busy Summer/Fall. It's also a great time to update your positioning statement or "Elevator Speech". Consider what new things you might like to add to capture your audience's attention. As a reminder, the GBCC coaches are here all summer and are happy to review resume updates and positioning statements with you in person, via email, or on the phone. Enjoy your Spring "Clean Up" and have a great summer!
