MBA Office Closed on Friday, July 3
The MBA program office will be closed all day on Friday, July 3 for the holiday weekend. We will re-open on Monday, July 6.

Carlson Night at the Minnesota Twins
Wednesday, July 8, Metrodome
Picnic at 5:00 p.m., game at 7:10 p.m.

Join MBA alumni and current students to cheer on the Twins as they take on the Yankees. There will be a MBA picnic held before the game on the Metrodome plaza. $35 per person and advanced registration is required for this event.

Student Computer Stations Available inside MBA Office
The MBA program office recently replaced the older student desktop with two NEW desktop computers. These two computers are available for use before or after classes, inside our office, suite 1-110, Monday thru Thursday from 8:00 a.m. - 7:30 p.m. and Friday from 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Mastering the Interview

This workshop will cover the techniques needed to ace a job interview with emphasis on the behavioral interview. The mock interview process will also be covered. For more information please visit the GBCC events calendar.

Positioning Statements
Monday, July 13, 4:40 - 5:40 p.m., CSOM 2-206
Learn how to develop an effective and strategic Positioning Statement and modify it for networking and interviewing situations. Will discuss how to use the positioning statement to answer those tough open-ended interview situations like "Tell me about yourself, and "Why should I hire you?" Participate in the On Campus Recruiting Resume Book
To have your resume included in the 2009 summer online resume book, follow these steps:
- Sign up for OCR.
- Log into The Edge.
- Upload your OCR approved resume* under the "Documents" section under "My Accounts" by July 10, 2009.
- In your Edge profile, check "Yes" to employer viewing of your resume and profile.
*Your resume must conform to the Carlson template and be approved by a career coach.

July 10: Deadline for participation in the Online Resume Book July 27: Deadline for completion of all OCR eligibility requirements for those participating in the Online Resume Book
August 7: Final deadline for completion of all OCR requirements for those not participating in the Resume Book
Sept 14:  Resume submission begins
Sept 14: Company information sessions begin
Oct. 5: Fall on-campus interviews begin
Dec. 16: Fall on-campus interviews end
