The VICTRI Open House
(Veterans' Initiative Center & Research Institute)

Wednesday, July 29th , 5:00 - 6:30 p.m., VICTRI Center
The VICTRI has been open for business since the beginning of April and currently assisting over 20 Veterans to start and/or grow their businesses. Join VICTRI at their Open House as they show off their cutting edge, state-of-the-art center.  Additionally, VICTRI offers  several major projects, such as:

 - Business Education Classes, Global:  Conducting business classes with Service Members who are deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan via video-conferencing in order to prepare them for their return to the States during a difficult economy.

- Business-in-a-Box:  providing Veterans with a laptop, software, standalone hard-drive, digital camera and printer in order to start their new business with the right tools.

- Valley Forge Village:  a 210-acre, 32 building development project that focuses on education, training and treatment for PTSD and Traumatic Brain Injuries, the signature injury of the current conflicts.

- Black Veterans of America (BVA):  an assistance program to ensure that Veterans of Color are aware of, educated on and receiving their VA benefits.

Eaton Resume Review Day
Wed. August 12, 2009, 4:30 - 7:00 pm

Join us as Casey Watson, MBA Campus Manager, and leaders from Eaton's Eden Prairie, MN facility host this event aimed at helping Part-Time students improve their resumes. Current and recent graduates of the Global Leadership Development Program will also be in attendance to share their insight on their experiences post-MBA with Eaton Corporation. Students participating in Fall 2009 On-Campus Recruiting will receive priority until Mon. August 3. After this date, any slots still available are open to all PTMBAs. RSVP required by calling the GBCC front desk at 612-624-0011 to reserve your slot. More information is posted on The Edge.

Mock Interview Required for On-Campus Recruiting(OCR)
To satisfy the eligibility requirements for Fall 2009 OCR, students MUST complete a mock interview. You must schedule your interview via The Edge by August 7th to participate.

If you are graduating between September 2009 and August 2010 and would like to participate in OCR, you MUST notify GBCC of your intention to participate. To do so, use the link via The Edge, located in the Announcements section.

National Black MBA 28th Annual Scholarship Dinner Building Leadership Resilience

Carlson IT Help Desk
The Carlson IT Student Services Help Desk will be closed for the duration of the summer, and  IT Student Services will operate out of the Hanson Laptop Repair Center.  The Laptop Repair Center will be open Monday-Thursday, 8am to 6pm and Friday, 8am to 5:30pm.  Please see the Computer Labs page for the computer labs summer hours.
