All campus ramps will be charging a higher event rate on football game days, and it is possible that no non-football parking will be available. Because of the importance of our Saturday classes, Parking and Transportation Services has a special offer for students taking Carlson Saturday classes. Any student registered for a Saturday class is eligible to purchase a pre-paid hang tag good for parking in the 19th Avenue Ramp on game days. Fall 2009 Paid Student Consulting Opportunities
Develop your skills, earn money and assist a community-based nonprofit organization or small business. The Office for Business & Community Economic Development, the Humphrey Institute of Public Affairs and the Carlson School of Management has partnered to offer two unique programs. These programs help nonprofit organizations, which serve Minnesota communities, as well as minority, woman or disabled-owned businesses. Fall projects will begin mid-September. Applications are due by Friday, September 11, 2009. Visit the Office for Business & Community Economic Development for more information and to apply. Vahan Janjigian presents 'Even Buffett Isn’t Perfect'
Wednesday, September 23, 1:30 - 4:30p.m.
CSOM 3M Auditorium

The Institute for Research in Marketing presents Vahan Janjigian, Chief Investment Strategist, Forbes. Vahan Janjigian will visit the Carlson School for a conversation about investment strategies based on his recent book, Even Buffett Isn’t Perfect. At the event, Janjigian will address the widely-held assumption that Warren Buffett, the world’s most successful investor, always knows best.

1:30 – 2:30 p.m. Exclusive Engagement. Attendees will receive a copy of his book, Even Buffett Isn’t Perfect, and admission to the 3:00 p.m. event. The cost is $75 and space is limited.

3:00 – 4:30 p.m. Vahan Janjigian Talk and Q&A. Registration is free for Carlson School faculty and staff as well as current University of Minnesota students.

The Career Exploration Conference is an annual event for Part-Time MBA and first year Full-Time MBA students. Each student may attend up to three different panels in one afternoon, based upon his/her career interests. The panel choices include: Financial Services, Marketing, Consulting, Supply Chain/Operations, Strategic Business Development, Corporate Finance, Entrepreneurship, Brand Management and Non-Profits.

Carlson IT Help Desk
The Carlson IT Student Services Help Desk will be closed for the duration of the summer, and  IT Student Services will operate out of the Hanson Laptop Repair Center.  The Laptop Repair Center will be open Monday-Thursday, 8am to 6pm and Friday, 8am to 5:30pm.  Please see the Computer Labs page for the computer labs summer hours.
