Tuition and Financial Aid
Financial aid is structured so that each student is typically a graduate assistant for 5 years, allowing each student to gain important developmental experience in both teaching and research. The graduate assistantship also covers the cost of tuition and most health insurance premiums. A modest research budget is also usually provided.
To maintain the focus needed to complete the degree, the University discourages PhD students from seeking outside employment.
