Connecting Carlson: A world-class business school requires a world-class facility

As our region and state’s premier business school and one of the nation’s first business schools to incorporate experiential learning into its curriculum, the Carlson School of Management is a renowned and innovative leader in preparing students to face the complex challenges of today’s global marketplace.

That’s why it’s so important that we transform our headquarters to educate and equip our communities of students, faculty, alumni, and business partners as they operate in a briskly evolving, more connected world. Connecting Carlson modernizes our building to meet the business education needs of today.

Moving Forward, Together

Teaching and learning styles have changed dramatically since our flagship building was completed nearly three decades ago. Our vision for renewing the space will align it with the cutting-edge modes of instruction, communication, and collaboration that distinguish the work of the Carlson School’s faculty and students. Serving as a central gathering place for the Carlson School community, our reconceived headquarters will provide students, faculty, and alumni with an enhanced environment designed to foster a sense of belonging.

"The Connecting Carlson project ensures that we remain competitive as a top business school by elevating and enhancing those critical connections—both intentional and serendipitous—that foster belonging, collaboration, experiential learning, and community.”

—Dean Jamie Prenkert, Investors in Leadership Distinguished Chair
